Home automation is the
internetworking of
electronics in our homes to merge then with harmony and create a
fascinating environment. Home automation systems can give you the
ability to enhance homeowner's lifestyle, and make a home more
loveable and comfortable, safe and efficient. The Home Automation
consist in integrate security, lighting, gaming, entertainment
peripherals, telecommunications, heating and air conditioning
systems into a controlled system that is located in a central point
of the house. With the high demand these systems and becoming more
affordable and available, the need to understand the basic concepts,
technology, and how they are integrated into new home construction
is steadily increasing.
Channel Plus Multi-Room Video Distribution System
The Channel Plus
Multi-Room Video Distribution System converts audio/video signals
from your VCR, DVD player, satellite, cable, or camera to two
user-selected channels (UHF or CATV). Just select the channels you
want to modulate to using the "program" buttons—now you can tune-in
to those channels on any connected TV. The multi-room video
distribution system has two outputs for connection to a local TV and
video source and three outputs to connect TVs in other rooms. If you
are watching a TV in another room, running back to the VCR or DVD
player, or satellite receiver can be difficult and inconvenient. The
multi-room video distribution system has a built-in IR receiver that
gives you the ability to remotely control your video devices (IR
accessories needed).
Coax cable,
RCA audio/video cable,
amplifier,
and compatible
IR
target,
IR remote control, and IR repeater/emitter sold
separately.
The multi-room video distribution system is actually two modulators
in one device. It has two video-source inputs with the ability to
modulate the signals to two user-selected channels. The multi-room
video distribution system also has two outputs for connection to a
local video source and TV (for coax runs of less than 35 feet),
making it possible to loop-through the audio/video signals. And it
has three outputs (for coax runs up to 150 feet) for distant TVs.
With additional IR accessories, the multi-room video distribution
system's built-in IR receiver gives the ability to remotely control
your connected video sources. Its two selector buttons and
corresponding LED light make it easy to set up.
Automatic Indoor Pan/Tilt System
A critical part of protecting a home or business with a surveillance
camera system is choosing the type of coverage you want. Do you
prefer wide-angle cameras that can capture the entire room, but show
little detail? Or would you rather have a camera that sees the
details, but with a very narrow field of vision? Well now you can
get the best of both worlds with our Motorized Pan/Tilt Camera Mount
System!
Because the Motorized Pan/Tilt Camera Mount System works with any
black & white or color
video camera,
you'll be able to use a
detail-oriented camera and still be able to aim it anywhere in the
room or surveillance area. If you plan on using the cameras in areas
where there may be criminal activity — especially if it's going to
be used as evidence for a conviction — capturing fine details is a
must. Furthermore, since the panning and tilting function is
visible, the system acts as a visual deterrent against theft,
vandalism and other wrongdoing.
2.4GHz Wireless Video Transmission System
Send stereo audio/video signals to TVs, PCs, stereos or video game
systems up to 300 feet away — without running wires! This system,
which installs in minutes, can be used to transmit images from such
sources as cable TV, DVD players, VCRs, camcorders, video game
systems and more! Use it for multi-room access to pay-per-view
movies, premium cable channels or satellite receivers. You can also
use it for a number of security applications, including quick and
easy surveillance monitoring of babies, pool areas or elderly family
members using CCD video cameras or your existing camcorder!
The transmitter accepts baseband audio/video signals (RCA jacks),
which are then transmitted to the receiver. The receiver accepts the
baseband audio/signals and outputs them to the monitoring device
(TV, PC or stereo) using RCA jacks. This system uses the 2.4GHz
band, avoiding the crowded 900MHz band that most cordless phones and
other wireless devices commonly use, ensuring superior signal
quality and greater range.
X10 Control Of Your Irrigation System!
Integrate sprinkler or watering system control into your X10 home
automation system with the Rain8, a full-featured, 8-zone irrigation
controller that accepts and reacts to standard X10 commands. This
opens up the world of sprinkler and irrigation system control to
anyone with X10 timers, remote controls, even over-the-Internet
control using PC-based automation software.
Temperature Sensing IC Chip
Build your own temperature sensor with this IC chip. Simply solder
leads to chip, apply 5-24V and output will be a linearly scaled
0-5VDC, 10mV/°F. The Temperature Sensing IC Chip can be directly
connected to TimeCommander Plus without extra circuitry. Calibrated
directly in degrees Fahrenheit.
